I am impatient. Most people who know me personally can attest to this. I may seem quiet and cool but I always pour out my frustrations to those who understand me. Anyway, I try my very best every time. Slowly, I have learned to follow many ways on how to control my anger. First, I acknowledge the emotion by mentioning it out loud. "I'm starting to feel angry."   Whenever I say this to the person I'm talking to, they automatically stop talking. This also helps me breathe and think things through. This is my ultimate secret weapon to control my anger. It's also good to understand what makes you tick. Ask yourself what your pet peeves are. I usually dislike it when people ask for my opinion or advice just to bluntly disagree with me after. Welcome to Aomori, Japan! (Day 1)

Just a few days ago, I had the most memorable experience in my life. I was given the opportunity to travel to the "Land of the Rising Sun" for a total of 6 days. This trip was fully funded by the company where I work at (CNE1 International Language School) and our partner school located in the said prefecture (Hachinohe Gakuin University). Variety of Bentos sold in Tokyo Central train station Our first stop was in Aomori, Japan located in the northern part of the main island of the country. The place is roughly 3 and a half hours away from metro Tokyo by Shinkansen. Every minute counts! Street Food: Pares Retiro-style

Pares, or beef pares , is one of the most popular street food in the Philippines. It is typically a bowl of braised beef stew served with a cup of garlic fried rice. The name ' pares ' literally translates to 'pair'. In the town where I live, several pares diners can be found. A fairly new one is situated near the town's center. Pares Point is a garage-turned-diner that serves pares and pares mami.  It is important to note that they serve ' retiro-style' pares which according to thesmartlocal.com, was where pares originated.  As can be seen in the photos, the diner only serves this dish. It may not seem much, but the food is not disappointing.
