A month or so has passed since I tried the lifehack avocado germinating experiment and here are some photos of how well they're doing now. (Yes, the lifehack is TRUE so I recommend ya'll to try it yourself). Two weeks after poking and submerging some seeds into a cup, one seed germinated fast. It developed roots while the others are just slowly developing their own roots. This seed was originally closed. You can see that a root is about to sprout. This was the first seed that germinated and grew roots.  I transferred the first seed to a pot but I did not expose it under direct sunlight just yet. They say it's important to pamper and treat yourself once a while. Well, just a few days ago, I did, I mean, we did just that. For a wedding present, we received some Spatify (yes, it is a spa) gift certificates from our colleagues. These were worth a total of one-thousand five hundred pesos. It was roughly 2 months ago when we tied the knot so we had to use these gift certificates before they expire. As written on the papers, these certificates will expire on April 26th. Due to work conflict (and poor memory), we weren't able to avail for a massage service. Finally, after some time and a whole lot of rescheduling, we were able to make time to get a body massage. So, on a Sunday late afternoon, we gave ourselves the pampering we badly needed. The spa is located near a mall in Rosales, Pangasinan. It is just a 15-minute car ride from where we live. Last Month, on the 17th of March to be exact, I and my friends went to Star City. It was a somewhat planned trip to celebrate friendship and my toddler's moving-up party. The tickets were bought by out friend Jam, who is now working in the Metro as a call center agent, I think online at a discounted rate. (Check Metrodeal.com) I have no clue on how much each of the tickets' worth since it was our friend's treat for us. We, on the other hand, rented a van as our transportation going to Manila. We were lucky to find a van rental for 6 thousand pesos and since there were nine of us in the group, we didn't break our wallets for the fare. I brought along my two kids, Yza and Johan. Before the trip, I decided to hype Yza up by searching for videos of people enjoying their stay in Star City and also this is for me to check if there are rides available for kids like her. A tour to Vigan is incomplete if you don't get to watch and try the traditional pottery -making with your own hands. Pagburnayan, is a place where you can enjoy and shop for clay pots that are surely weatherproof. And when I say weatherproof, I really mean that. One vendor even tried to demonstrate how hard their pots by slamming one their mini pots on the wooden table where their other products were displayed. To my surprise, the wooden table suffered a minor dent while the pot remained spotless. Too bad I was not really planning to buy clay pots because my main purpose was to feel like an artist even just for once in my life.
