(How the Wind Fairy came to be)

EXT. – FAR AWAY LAND – DAY 

In a land called Erudite, 4 kingdoms, Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water, exist. The kingdoms represent the elements that they control.

In the North is the Wind Kingdom where a powerful Queen rules. For many years, the kingdom has flourished under her reign.

EXT. - QUEEN’S BALCONY - DAY

QUEEN (mid 30s, dressed in long white silk gown overlooking her kingdom from her balcony) She is known as an accomplished queen making all invaders go down in defeat. With all her achievements, she became the most formidable leader in all the land recognized by everyone. This is what the queen was hungry for: praise and recognition. She had everything under her control...until drought swept the whole land. The fields are growing dry, and people are fighting and growing weak due to thirst and hunger.

EXT. - THE WIND KINGDOM – DAY 

The kingdom’s former glory has been replaced. Drought and famine has taken over the whole state. The people are queuing for ration in front of the castle.

INT. - QUEEN’S BEDROOM – DAY 

Queen walks into her room and faces the mirror--delighted with her reflection; she smiles confidently. The smile quickly fades as she hears a knock on the door. One of her servants comes to inform her of the council meeting.

INT. - IN THE CASTLE’S GREAT HALL – DAY 

The Queen’s Royal Council is gathered around a round table while the Queen is staring blankly out her window. The Councilors are whispering amongst themselves, afraid that the Queen might overhear the news they don’t know how to deliver. The Queen turns and walks to the round table looking frustrated.

QUEEN 

(Irritated) Do we have enough supplies for everyone?

HEAD COUNCIL

(Shaking)I’m afraid we don’t have enough.

It can only last for three weeks, Your Highness.

QUEEN

(Shouting angrily)How can we run out of food and water!? I’ve checked the farms not long ago and they were thriving!

HEAD COUNCIL

Your Majesty, this drought is the worst in ages. And not only are we to address the famine, but… (Clears throat) there’s one more problem that we need to deal with.

QUEEN

(With growing annoyance)What could be more important than the matters of the state?

HEAD COUNCIL

 There’s an impending revolt. I believe officers from every village can’t control the uproar from our people.

QUEEN

(Breathes heavily)Then, what are we doing?! What solution can you offer then?

HEAD COUNCIL

The Oasis, your highness…

EXT. - OASIS – DAY 

The Oasis is placed on the top of the mountain of Eru, miles away from the four kingdoms, it is the greatest source of life in Erudite. The Enchantress protects the place where no one is allowed unless they go through her.

The Queen leaves her kingdom to travel to the Oasis. Upon arriving, she got mesmerized by its magical beauty. Suddenly, the Enchantress appears.

ENCHANTRESS

(Smiling) It’s a pleasure to see the Queen of the Wind Kingdom. I was expecting you. As the guardian of Erudite, I know what’s happening in the kingdoms. You’re facing a growing knot.

QUEEN

(Pleading) I am here to ask for your help. My people are suffering. The Oasis is our only hope.

ENCHANTRESS

(Calm and looking at a flower) The Oasis is from and for the Earth. I will help you. I have the seeds of life that can help your people. However, (looks at the Queen) I cannot offer all the seeds to you. I can only provide one for each kingdom of Erudite.

QUEEN

(Grinning)I will forever be thankful for the kindness and help that you give for my kingdom and the whole Erudite. If you don’t mind, I can bring all the seeds with me back to my kingdom and give the seeds to the three kings to spare them the time and energy.

ENCHANTRESS

(Staring at the queen) I will not refuse that offer. Take care of the seeds of life and share them with the other kingdoms. As the guardian of the Oasis, I trust you with these.

The Queen leaves the Oasis taking all the seeds of life back to her kingdom. The Enchantress watches her from afar.

EXT. - THE CASTLE GATE – DAY 

The Queen is standing, her back towards the gate. She looks at the seeds on her palm.

QUEEN

(Thinking to herself) I have the seeds with me...If I take all of them, my kingdom will be the richest in all the lands. I’ll be the most powerful Queen. I have braved my way to the Oasis, I deserve the seeds for myself (she quickly puts all four seeds in her pocket)

With a triumphant smile, she enters the palace gate. She calls a servant to tell the council to gather in the Great Hall. She proceeds to the gathering. The Queen enters the hall and the councilors stand up. She stands in front of the council and shows the seeds of life. The council is in awe.

QUEEN

(Shouting)Call the knights! Tell them to bury these seeds!

EXT - PALACE OUTSKIRTS - DAY

Forming a circle, a knight kneels in the middle. He holds the seeds towards the sky; the other knights are around him. Then, he plants the seeds of life. Magical trees start to appear; strong energy is absorbed by every living thing and the soil becomes fertile to give food to everyone. They all cheer.

EXT. - WIND KINGDOM – DAY 

Upon learning the betrayal, the furious Enchantress decides to confront the Queen.

Meanwhile, the Queen is delivering a speech to the rejoicing people when the sky suddenly turns gray and a loud thunder breaks the festivity. The Enchantress has arrived.

ENCHANTRESS

What a glittering assemblage! (Examines the place)

QUEEN

(Begging for mercy) Enchantress...Please...

ENCHANTRESS

You betrayed me. You promised to share the seeds of life, but you’ve kept them for yourself! (Roaring thunders can be heard from afar)

QUEEN

Enchantress... (Shocked; at a loss for words)

ENCHANTRESS

(Slowly walks towards the astounded Queen)

Your thirst for power and recognition has made you a daunting queen. Evil deeds will never go unpunished. (Turns her back to the Queen and faces the people watching in fear) Listen well, all of you! (Echoes can be heard) The Queen shall be turned into wind bearing both life and wreckage to all!

QUEEN

(Frightened)Please, don’t do this. I’m begging you!

ENCHANTRESS

It’s too late! (Raises both hands and a blinding light envelops the surrounding) Once you complete 7 good deeds and learn the value of sharing and humility, you shall be turned into something else. Until then, everyone will forget your name and accomplishments. Your presence and destruction will be felt, but people shall never see you!

The Enchantress musters all her power to shout a spell. She throws her hands towards the Queen and the Queen vanishes.

EXT. - WIND KINGDOM - DAY 

The drought has finally passed and everything went back to normal. Back in the palace, the throne is empty. The Queen is nowhere to be found. Everything about her has been erased. Until this day, the once powerful Queen remains unknown. 

END.
