Epiphany Number 2

Your questions sound more like accuses My answers ring more like excuses I'd like to keep you in the dark So when everything's fine  I may be able to smile with you again

Epiphany Number 1

We drown in our own fantasies

Word Vomit

I sleep with worries Shrouding my brain And wake up with nightmares They sting and drain Distractors are welcome Please spare me some time I can't beat this anxiety It's starting to eat me This poem was written to promote Mental health for everybody. Mental Health issues are becoming more prevalent and we should all be aware of the signs to avoid tragedies. Don't get me wrong, I don't have it (I'm sure) and I don't know anyone suffering from mental health conditions but still, prevention is always better than cure.

Hard times

Saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do. This may sound cliche but there's really no other way to say it. A few days ago, I said goodbye to a loyal companion who was also a part of our family, Chippy. Chippy was my hubby's gift for our daughter Yzabella. When Yza was just a few months old, Jeiel decided to surprise me with a dog. Chippy was a half-bred Chihuahua and Dachshund, however, for some unknown reason, Chippy was bigger than her siblings so when he bought Chippy, she was not as expensive as the other pups. Chippy, never experienced living inside our house. She was always tied in her house due to the fact that she was too active to let loose. She was, however, taught to fetch things and has always been super enthusiastic to play. A couple of months ago, she gave birth to 4 pups. Unfortunately, two of them did not survive while the 2 other pups are happily roaming around our compound to this day. After giving birth, an accident happened. Roughly 3 weeks a...

Post Mother's day celebration

Image
Around the world, people celebrate "Mother's day" every second Sunday of May. I have been celebrating this special event for 4 years now and each year, we celebrate in a definitely memorable and special way. Last Saturday night, I attended a simple Mother's day celebration in a Born-again Church that I attend to (JIL). This was my first time to join an event entirely dedicated to the mothers who also attend the same church. In this event, my daughter, Yzabella, gave two short song numbers. At first, she sang the song "You'll be in my heart" by Phil Collins with a little help from her dad and aunt and the other song was "Remember me", the OST of the movie "Coco". I was not able to record her second performance that time because she didn't sing loudly despite holding a microphone. I, however, was able to take a video of her "You'll be in my heart" performance. During the event, I was able to watch different perfo...

Little Miss Universe

A few months ago, my little girl started to take interest in anything related to Astronomy. I, with much eagerness and happiness, supported this interest. I have been trying to recall how this interest began but it was not really that important for me to know. However, knowing that my child really has the habit of copying me, I decided to jump and join and bandwagon. At first, we were able to borrow a pair of powerful binoculars from her Uncle. When the night is good and the skies are clear, we used the binoculars to take a peek at the moon. This made my little Yza all the more eager to see more. On her graduation, she requested for a "rocket toy". I tried browsing all the online shops I know just to look for a rocket toy suitable for her age and also my budget. Unfortunately, most toys I found were LEGO toys. I'm not saying that LEGO toys aren't good but these toys are not suitable for my daughter's age plus these toys are too expensive. However, in the same ...

New Experiments and some updates!

Online shopping has captured the hearts of millennials and try as I might avoid its temptation, I still end up getting hooked. Every now and then, I check for flash deals and other things. Even if I do not really have something in mind that I need or want to buy, I feel satisfaction whenever I browse and check the products available online. A few weeks ago, my ever-loving hubby bought us a new phone. Since January, I couldn't use a phone to check things online because my previous phone died. I was only active online when I get to spend my free time at work surfing the internet using my PC. But now, I have a phone. Of course, I resisted the urge to download apps that were distracting me from work and actual life. However, I failed. So yeah. Maybe some of you already know that I recently got into gardening and stuff like that. Yes, I actually looked for gardening stuff online. I enjoyed looking at the different kinds of plants and seeds I can actually order online. As a result, I...
